Newtown Public Pick Up Service & Dance Classes Registration for 2022

YBR Dance now offering Pick up Service from Newtown Public on Friday! Snacks, Homework club and 2 x dance classes right up until 5.30pm.

Schedule

3pm - Miss Karina & Mr Owen will Pick up your child from school and walk them directly to YBR Dance Newtown - 18a Enmore Road Newtown. This Should land us in the studio by no later than 3.15pm.

3.15pm - Children will change and be offered after school snacks including Toasties, popcorn and fruit. (On hot days or special occasions super doopers)

3.30pm - Children will be directed to a homework area, we will encourage and help them along. If time applies we will do our best to complete home readers with each child. Reading or alternate activities can be provided if your child is light on homework. 

4pm - Diverse Dance Fitness & Conditioning  - Will include a warm up including high energy dance fitness routines and/or a fitness circuit to stimulate their endorphins, in order to gain the best of their attention spans. Once their muscles are warm we will stretch for safety!  We will also complete exercises to increase posture and core strength.

They will be asked to deliver specific dance fundamentals  individually travelling across the room to encourage balance, coordination, flexibility and rhythm. This system allows us to give each child individual assistance in areas they may struggle with. This class is diverse and will cover an array of dance styles including Hip Hop, JFH & Latin Styles such as Cha cha, Samba, Cumbia, and Salsa. Very popular and loved by both boys and girls.

4.45pm - Hip Hop & Breaking - Now the kids are super pumped and warmed up, we will dive straight into learning Hip Hop, Breaking & Tricking skills. This is where the children will learn a routine, carefully brokedown and explained by the famous Mr Owen. We will finish the class with a competitive rhythm game which is loved by most kids.

5.30pm - Home & Pick Up Time :-)

What to bring? A change of clothes & water bottle. If you want to pack light, please ensure girls are wearing bike shorts or tights under their uniform.
